We Made It!

Well, we made it through the busy week.
This guy did a great job as a member of the cowpoke chorus in Calamity James:

She won second and third place ribbons at the gymnastics meet. She did especially fantastic on the uneven bars - but unfortunately I didn't get any good pictures. Here is one of Addie with her coach.

The evening with Julie Beck was very interesting. Instead of just presenting a talk to us, she opened it up for questions. It was like a forum and I really enjoyed it. I was able to see her as a real person - down-to-earth, spontaneous and delightful!

Great progress was made on the bathroom. Wes placed the subfloor and drywall and now the room is totally prepped for the shower and tile installation. Sadly, the big work day was tainted by two mishaps. The first was when Wes lost his footing and accidently fell and his foot came through the ceiling into the laundry room below the bathroom. The second (and this was definitely more than a mishap) was when I accidently backed into Weston's Subaru - ugh! I will spare you the details of the anger and tears that followed but I can gladly say that three days later - we are still married. Just kidding! But in addition to the bathroom - which was a full day's work - he spent time repairing the ceiling and pounding out the big dent in the car door with a block of wood.
The bathroom ready and waiting

The patched ceiling in the laundry room

So here we are at the beginning of another week - let's hope for a good one!

wow... is there ANYTHING that Wes cannot do?

Frankly, I think your bathroom is getting finished faster than if you paid someone to do it....

Yay for Addie and Issac.... they are getting so big!

Whoa -- what a week! I really do need a guy like Wes around here -- he'd have my place fixed up in no time . . . wanna visit? Chris just needs a serious tutorial -- or maybe he could just teach me. We need help!

Yes, I think, busy weeks are like that. I wish you would have taken a photo of Wes' foot coming through the wall. Yea for A. and I. They are amazing children.
