Litte Miss Personality

"Little Miss Personality" - that is what my mom calls Cate. And it is for good reason. Cate is full of life, energy, charm, and wit. She is outgoing, confident, and independent. She loves to dress-up and dance. She is stubborn and can be difficult at times but mostly we just enjoy her because she makes us laugh so much. I haven't been very good at writing down her funny remarks and actions. Maybe I will do better now. Anyway, here is a little video of Cate singing a Halloween song. Two things to watch/listen for: 1) when she licks her thumb before she turns the page and states "Mom, that's what I need to do when I am reading" 2) when she talks about the "goblets" instead of "goblins" dancing down the street. (I am still trying to figure out the best way to put videos on my blog - sorry about the poor quality.)

Almost everyone who knows Cate, knows she loves to dance. She wears skirts or dress-ups all day and frequently insists on some music to dance to - especially when she has an audience. Most recently she requests "Pirates of the Cabeean" (little clips of the soundtrack we have found on youtube) - and no she's never seen the movie. This is video of Cate dancing to some music that her dance teacher gave us. Of course, I wear the rose-colored glasses of a mother, but amidst all of the flailing - she really does some pretty creative dance moves (don't laugh at me - I am totally serious :-). And she comes up with them entirely on her own! I think she is taking after her Aunt Amy. Warning: this clip is kind of long (2:30 min) - the grandparents might be the only ones to make it to the end.
