I have been watching the recent Ken Burns documentary about WWII on PBS - The War. Very moving, powerful, sad, scary, and educational all at the same time. I highly recommend it. It has made me realize how little I knew about this war that truly changed our nation. It is being rebroadcast several times over the next few weeks - check local PBS listings for times. It is a seven part series so it is time-consuming but definitely worth it.

Worth Watching

I watched this series and was totally mesmerized. It was amazing. I would love to see something similar from a German/British/Japanese etc. P.O.V. Of course I realize that would require a ton of time, but this series was so good. It was all the things you said.
