As we were sitting at dinner the other night - a memory popped into my head. Very vague but definitely real. About a PBS show I used to watch as a kid - about drawing...a man with dark hair and a mustache...standing in front of a mural...using a sharpie and drawing little creatures and the village they lived in. My description was so weird that Wes was sure it was just a dream. So...I did a little research online and finally found it! Secret City with Commander Mark!!! I couldn't believe it! There are several clips on youtube. What a blast from the past! To this day - I still use certain drawing techniques that I learned on this show. I had forgotten completely about it.
But my question is - does anyone else remember this show? So far, I haven't found anyone else that remembers it. I couldn't have been the only kid watching this show. I may have to take this question to the Facebook universe!

If you remember the show - and Mark - go see what he looks like now! Anyway - my son loves to draw and he has watched a couple of the (really poor quality) episodes on youtube and has really enjoyed them.

I remember this show! I only watched it a couple of times, and apparently it did not help my drawing skills much... :)
