My dear friend Liz's oldest brother was in a very serious bicycling accident last Saturday. He is showing signs of improvement but remains in the ICU. Please keep him and their family in your thoughts and prayers.

I saw this story on the news, and thought "There's no way it's one of Liz's brothers!" Oh, no! I'm so sorry to hear this! I will try to send Liz a message tomorrow. Keep me posted.
Wow! That's very scary. Thanks for sharing this and we will definitely be thinking of him and his family.
Reading this article I am very shocked (and somewhat appalled) that they didn't close the canyon for the race. It's too bad that it might take a serious accident like this one for that to happen in the future.
