Last weekend I introduced my kids to the movie, Labyrinth. I liked this movie when I was kid. Not sure why. Now it kind of freaks me out. The same thing happened when I watched The Dark Crystal as an adult. Yikes! I'm not sure about those muppets...
Anyway, my kids have really gotten into it and have even asked for the soundtrack. Uh - I don't think so. Let's just leave David B0wie where he belongs - in the eighties!
I realized we needed a serious break from this movie after I had this conversation with Cate:
We were walking along a dirt road when she asked me, "Where does this road lead?"
I said, "I don't know."
Cate replied, "Probably certain death."

Thanks for the laugh. Oh the 80's, how I miss the old days.
We bought that one and The Goonies at the same time, remembering that we liked them as kids. Now that we are adults, we realize just how much went over our heads and how seriously mixed-up both shows are.
"certain death" Hilarious.
I LOVED that movie too. My kids just watched and loved Willow, another of my childhood favs. I didn't watch it.
The Dark Crystal is one of the craziest movies!! I didn't think anyone else remembered it... both those movies freaked me out as a kid, and even more as an adult!
Well, you could show them "Princess Bride." Will make them forget about the Labrynth for a while.
We just watched "Never Ending Story" last weekend. Also an awesome 80's movie, with a great 80s song at the end. I don't know who sings the song- it sounds like "Air Supply." :) I love it when our kids enjoy movies we loved as a kid. I don't think I will introduce them to "Grease" though. Watching it as an adult recently, for the first time in about 20 years, was a shocker.
