Washington DC and Micaela's Wedding!!

We were lucky enough to make a short but wonderful trip to the East to celebrated my niece Micaela's wedding.  She was a glowing, beautiful bride and we felt privileged to be a part of this special event.
Wes, my dad and I flew into Baltimore and drove to Washington DC to meet up with Shawn, Miles, Micaela, Chris and Chris' family for dinner.  The happy couple:
After dinner we had some time to kill so we drove into the city to see some of the memorials at night.
It was the perfect fall evening and it was so fun to be there with Wes and my dad.

The next day was the wedding at the Washington DC Temple.  The ceremony was touching and beautiful.  The bridge and groom were sweet and lovely.  Even the light rain didn't take away from the beauty of the day.
The family.
My dad looking very handsome!
Every boutineer was decorated with a lego super hero - very cute!

We had a lunch after the temple ceremony and the next night was the reception.  It was held in a very cool barn which we decorated with lights and quilts.  Members of Shawn's ward planned and executed the whole thing.  It turned out great!
