Charles and Tessa Clark Reunion - Oakley, Idaho - Pioneer Days
Although the official reunion activities were over, many families stayed an extra day to take part in Oakley's yearly celebration - Pioneers Days. We started the day off with a chuckwagon breakfast in the park where there were booths and vendors set up to look at. My dad attended the lunch and patriotic service and then we all saw the Oakley Valley Arts Council's production of Once Upon a Mattress. Following the play, we situated ourselves in front of the Clark home (thanks to Paul - the current owner) to watch the parade.
It was a classic, old-fashioned, small-town parade.
We passed the afternoon relaxing in the shade at the Haight Bed and Breakfast.
We spent the evening at the Pioneer Days Rodeo.
We hated to see the fun end! We knew this was truly a once in a lifetime experience that we would cherish always.
