Road Trip to Canada - Driving Home Through Glacier National Park

Even though we were sad to say farewell to our dear relatives in Canada, our fun wasn't over yet! My mom's cousin Ross and his wife Jolayne offered to take us through Glacier National Park on the way to their cabin at Echo Lake where we would spend the night.  Glacier was spectacular, stunning, and incredible!
The old lodges nestled next to the valley lakes with the mountain peaks towering above them reminded me of the Swiss Alps.

This is one way to view the park.
We drove on the Going-to-the-Sun Road up, up, up to the highest mountain peaks where we found glaciers in the middle of July.

Time for a snowball fight!

We continued on our drive and stopped to see some spectacular views!

And many, many waterfalls!

Selfies with Mom!

As we descended down the other side we were surrounded by lush forests and a rushing, crystal blue river.

On to Echo Lake!

(Trip detail to remember:  Dad forgetting his passport and the fact that we only had photocopies of our kids' birth certificates made getting through the tough Canadian border an experience to remember!  It was much easier coming back into the U.S.)
