Memorial Day

Memorial Day - now a much more bittersweet day for my family.
When we arrived at the cemetery, there were already many lovely flowers and arrangements on my mom's headstone.
Like this one from my Uncle Brent and Aunt Fae - perfect.
After much thought and deliberation about the perfect way to honor my mom on this day, my dad decided to put a picture of my mom on her headstone.  I thought it was a lovely idea.

Addie thought it only appropriate to do a one-handed cartwheel across her grave.  My mom would have told Addie to point her toes!!
Lilly of the Valley - the traditional flower for my brother Peter's gravestone.

And of course there were many Clark relatives present.

The traditional decorations for my Dad's parents' grave.
My dad with two of his sisters.

Sarah decided she wanted to do a cartwheel too!
I think about my mother everyday - several times a day.  Sometimes, for a split second - I think I need to call her to tell her something - oh how I miss her!
We also visited my mother's parents' grave.
Not sure where Isaac was for this picture...
