Janet Beck Clark - February 16, 1936 - October 22, 2012

Janet Beck Clark passed away at home on October 22, 2012, following an eight-year battle with cancer.

Janet was born to D Elden and Florence Robinson Beck in St. George, Utah on February 16, 1936. In 1939, the family moved to Provo, where Janet attended Provo High School and Brigham Young University. She married Jon George Clark on April 30, 1958 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Through her passion for life, family, art, and nature, she touched the lives of many. Henry David Thoreau wrote that “Heaven is under our feet as well as over our heads.” Janet had a remarkable gift to see the beauties and wonders of nature and spent her life helping others to see what she saw. She believed that a wildflower, a feather, a blade of grass, or a butterfly were all miracles that could enrich one’s life and testify of the divine if only one took the time to notice.

Janet was a gifted designer, a talented writer, and a wonderful neighbor. Love, beauty, grace, and intelligence were hallmarks of her life.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her life and served faithfully in a variety of callings. She loved the Church. Through her association with and service to its members, both young and old, she was blessed and blessed the lives of others.

Janet adored her family and was always happiest when she was able to spend time with those she held dearest. She is survived by her husband, Jon; her children, Shawn Clark, Kip Clark, Terressa (Steve) Rezendes, Amy (Brian) Lives, and Emily (Weston) Spencer; 13 grandchildren; her brothers, Brent (Fae) Beck and Larry (Rosa) Beck, and her sister, Linda (Brent) Bullough. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elden and Florence Beck, as well as a son, Peter.
