Baptism Day

Last Saturday Cate was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  It was a very special day for her.  I had forgotten how much I love to watch my children get baptized - and what a sweet experience it is for our entire family!  After the baptismal service we had a lunch at our home for family and friends.     I am grateful to my sister-in-law Carlee for bringing her camera and taking many wonderful pictures.

Our sweet Cate
Our many loved ones.

Lots of hustling and bustling in the kitchen getting the lunch ready.

Addie had to head off to a performance for the Governor!  She is a member of the Junior Performing Company at On Broadway Academy and it was the ribbon-cutting ceremony for their new building.  Exciting for her!

I was lucky enough to hold Liz's baby.  Oh she is so sweet!

I-man with his football.  Of course.

Where is Sarah in the midst of all of this?  Tormenting the cats as usual.  And this time she has some followers.
Cate opening her presents.
She got her very own set of scriptures from Grandpa Dave and Connie.
With a very sweet note to Cate on the inside cover.

She received a book from Grandma and Papa.  This book was given to Papa and his twin sister when they turned eight years old in 1942.  It was given to them by George Albert Smith who was the Prophet and President of the LDS church at that time.  There is even an inscription inside the cover...

Cate received many sweet gifts including this picture of her Primary class in front of the temple.
Where is Sarah?  Oh dear...now they have the other cat.
Her friend gave her a necklace that says "CTR"

This is a very fuzzy picture of Cate with her two Great-grandparents:  Grandma Jan's mother Eldine and Grandpa Dave's father Eugene.
It was a lovely day!
