The State Fair

My family visited the State Fair a few days ago. I haven't been for years - 1999? It was all still there - the arts and crafts, farm animals, the Navajo tacos, the rides, and the "carny" ride operators (did I actually let my kids go on a ride operated by that person?!). But I am no "State Fair" snob - and good or bad we have no qualms about taking our kids to these kinds of things. We really had such a great time! And they have kind of fixed things up a little bit. We were impressed!

Umm...I'm not sure that's why we brought the wheelchair
That's a little better. What a nice grandma! The kids liked the mini-arrangements in the floriculture building

The farm animals are always fun
And stinky...
The reptile show was one of the best we've ever seen!

Cate's face on the Ferris Wheel
We spotted Nadine Wimmer and then saw her on the news that night - in the same outfit!
It was a great evening! Thanks to Amy and Mom for planning it. (Missed you Jan and Don.) Looking forward to next year!

To me the State Fair means gooey cinnamon rolls, fried zucchini, and farm animals. We used to go every year. I miss it.
Cute photos!

I'm glad to see we live among other State Fair non-snobs! We love the fair and ALL that it has to offer! I wish I would have known your kids had things up there. Hannah and I would have loved to go see! Next year!
