The Teepee

As I mentioned in a previous post, Wes used his scouting skills to build this teepee in our backyard with wood leftover from his days as a lumberjack.
The other day I was visiting the inside of the teepee and was impressed with the clever things the kids had done. They used nature treasures we have collected over the years to decorate and I found it so charming!
The teepee
The inside
A couple of gourds over the front door
A pretend fire circle

Shells from our many trips to the beach
Horseshoes we have found in the yard
A skull
A box of shells
More horseshoes and a piece of fishing line with some lures and lids from tennis ball cans

We collected this giant pinecones (about 1.5 feet long) in Lake Tahoe

You have very creative kids. They got some good genes.

Your magical wonderland reminds me of my childhood - outdoors all summer. I can see why your kids are not watching too much TV. What a great space! It is very charming, what they've done to the place.
