We all have been loving the Olympics - especially the first week. One night when we were watching the gymnastics, Addie started making this project. She cut out pictures of Shawn Johnson and Nastia Liukin from her gymnastics magazine and pasted them on a piece of paper. Then she wrote: "Go for the Gold," "Do your best," "Trust Yourself," "Be Healthy," "Try to get into the Olympics," and "Be Confident." She did this entirely on her own. In fact, she was halfway through it before I even realized what she was making. I thought it was really cute.
Not to be outdone, Isaac decided he wanted to make his own Olympic poster. He used pictures of Michael Phelps and the Olympic logo we found online. I had to chuckle when I read what he wrote. I will quote it the way he wrote it. "Jonothon Horton - you can do it!," "Michael Phelpes - Evrey one matters in the Olimpics," "Shawn Jonson - your a champ." So cute!

That is so fun. I bet Addie really enjoyed watching the gymnastics. I think watching the Olympics with my kids is so fun.
These are so cute! They are the kind of project my kids would only do if I promised them something fabulous or threatened them with something terrible. I tell myself it's because they're boys, but I don't know anymore...
Are we going to see them in the Olympics someday? If the Chinese can compete when they're 14 Addie better get her game on.
What cute posters! The olympics are so fun to watch and probably even more fun to watch with your kids. Hannah did end up watching a little volleyball during the day, but she wasn't too interested!
You may be following your children to the Olympics. Go Em!
I had this huge smile cross my face when I read/saw this post! How fun! And what talent! And we, too, are pulling for A ended up there one day! Then we will have a super awesome reason to go!
