Yesterday I had the wonderful opportunity to see a couple of my friends from nursing school that I have not seen for over a decade. We attended a BYU College of Nursing alumni lecture and then took a brief tour of the College's new offices, classrooms and nursing labs. It's nice to see the College finally having a space of its own. When I was there - we had classes in some of the most random buildings on campus and our nursing lab was held in an old home-ec room! I loved being on campus, though - very nostalgic!
This painting was unveiled right before we graduated. It is titled, "The Healer's Art" after the College of Nursing's theme song, "Lord I Would Follow Thee." I love this painting and I remember how touched I was when I saw it for the first time (try to ignore the glare). I love being a nurse and sometimes I really miss it. Someday...
We had lunch at Los Hermanos and talked about how much we miss the simple life of being college students. It just seems so much more complicated now! We laughed and laughed as we shared memories of nursing school. Good times! Thanks ladies!
Later that day we zipped up to Ikea and I caught this shot of SJ that was too cute not to post!
