Horsetail Falls

We had heard there was this great hike in the small canyon near our house and yesterday we finally did it! It was a steady uphill 2 miler but definitely worth it. Besides the fact that it was a beautiful, cool, clear day, the canyon and the falls were breathtaking. It was a breeze for our older two and pretty doable for me - although I am feeling it in my legs today.

Here are the kids and their friends on the way up...

I think we have pictures just like this of Wes with every one of our kids in this backpack

You can see Horsetail Falls in the background

The lovely valley

Magnificent!

Beautiful!!!
We went for a hike yesterday, but I forgot my camera, darn it. It was the absolute best weather for hiking and all the wildflowers were so pretty! We need to hike with you guys soon.

SJ looks so cute in the backpack with the daddy. Your family is such a great example of getting out and doing noteworthy things - educational, adventurous, fun, and interesting...

Two hiking posts, you guys are serious! I can't believe that is right by your house. Well, I can since you are in Utah. But still, how great!

I have been trying to figure out how to get to this hike for months! You'll have to give me directions to the trail head. I took the kids on a hike
Saturday up by Kamas - we found a Beaver Pond and a little waterfall, but nothing like this one! Can't wait to check it out. (BTW - I think I have a picture of ME w/ all my kids in the backpack! :)
